Pourtales Park

Pourtales Park is a private property, owned and maintained by the Count Pourtales Association, and includes three open space triangles located in the neighborhood. A map of the area is available in the Covenants, Exhibit B. The land was transferred to the Association by a deed from the Broadmoor Hotel in 1954.

Maintenance of the park is overseen by a Park Committee, which is made up of volunteers from the Count Pourtales Association membership. Responsibilities include mowing during summer months, removal of dead trees and mulching the material to maintain walking paths. The Committee also removes noxious and invasive weeds. Maintenance tasks are completed during the Annual Park Cleanup, which usually occurs in August.

Private use of Pourtales Park is prohibited. Dumping of trash, debris and dead or loose vegetation or other items is also prohibited.

Driving in the park is prohibited, without prior approval from the Board of Directors. Requests should be submitted to the Board via email to pourtalesassoc@gmail.com.

Homes that back up to Pourtales Park are private property and should be respected as such.
